For the first time Cherry Quarks were recognized in a refrigerator
in Bremen (Germany) by the author of
this article in late 1978. He soon founded the PRIVATE INSTITUTE FOR STUDIES ON THE FLAVOUR OF CHERRY QUARKS, which carried out several
hundreds of experiments to find out the general properties of Cherry
Quarks. The brandnew theory of
fractal dimension unitary groups (see subsection 2.3.1)
gives us now a tool for putting together some of the parts
of the mindtwinging puzzle of the existence of Cherry Quarks.
